Rival Consoles

I got my hands on the latest release from Erased Tapes Records, Helvetica, an EP by Rival Consoles.It’s a wonderful, experimental mixing of classical and dance from purveyor of IDM, 21-year-old, Ryan Lee West. Here’s a snip of what I thought:

“…The senses are quickly thrown from the stability created by the opening dysfunctional piano lullaby, on opening title track Helvetica, as drum and bass beats take hold and move the song from concert hall reflections to post-modern underground rave. Indie is dead rises from the ashes of deathly chaos…”
